The wonderfully stripey lightouse at Penmon on the eastern tip of Anglesey
is a marvel of engineering. When I arrived the tide was in and it is clearly
a dangerous stretch of water. I wondered at how they could build such an
imposing structure in such waters. Later in the day I realised it helps
a bit if you wait for the tide to go out first.
